Biography

Tahj is a singer-songwriter from Inglewood, CA who uses storytelling and lush vocal harmonies to express the range of human emotion in his music. Drawing heavily from gospel, neo-soul, and early hip-hop influences, tahj hopes to challenge the conventions of traditional R&B by infusing grooves and rhythms found across the diaspora of Black American music. Lyrically, he prioritizes relatability and authenticity, using his songs as a means of processing difficult emotions and putting to words the experiences that make us both human and imperfect.
